As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Kitty Bressington is the founding principal of Linden Financial Consultants, LLC, which is an independent, hourly-only financial planning and investment consulting firm in Rochester, NY. With more than 20 years' experience in the financial planning field, Kitty saw a need for affordable, objective, well-explained and comprehensible financial advice—advice that is frequently sought, but often difficult to find.

Certified Financial Planner™ certificants, also known as a CFP®, are held to the highest of standards for competency, ethics, training, and professionalism. As a CFP professional, Kitty is a member of the Garrett Planning Network, a nationwide network of independent, fee-only financial advisors. Additionally, Kitty is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®). She has background knowledge of the legal issues in divorce and the ability to become part of the divorce team, providing support for lawyers, mediators and their clients. As a CDFA, Kitty’s greatest role is to help her clients understand how the financial decisions made today will impact their financial future. She also has a B.A. from Rutgers College and is a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).

Kitty is the founder and director of the Foundation for Women’s Financial Education, a not-for-profit organization created in 2014 after talking with friends and recognizing the lack of solid, unbiased financial advice and education for women in the Rochester region. The Foundation offers monthly seminars, pro-bono financial planning to women in need, and sponsors an annual luncheon for area women in the financial services industry.
