Yates Community Center Celebrates Tremendous Success at 3rd Annual Gala

The Yates Community Center (YCC) is thrilled to announce the incredible success of their 3rd Annual Gala presented by the Greater Rochester Health Foundation and Lyons National Bank, which took place at The Mansion at Keuka Lake. Thanks to the generous support of the Yates community, the event raised an impressive $34,000 for their Phase 2 Building Project. This significant contribution will empower the community to lead healthier and more active lives, furthering the YCC's mission to enhance the well-being of Yates County residents.

"We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support from our community,” expressed Beth Clark, Executive Director of the YCC. “This funding is crucial for the next phase of our development, and it demonstrates a collective commitment to fostering a healthier, more connected community. I am deeply grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to our mission."

The event saw an attendance of 150 guests, who sponsored, supported, and participated in the Gala, making the evening truly memorable. The warmth and enthusiasm in the room reflected the community's deep commitment to the YCC's goals of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The evening was enriched by inspiring speeches from Steve Stork of Stork Insurance, Ryan Hallings of Lyons National Bank, and YCC’s Board President Leigh Berry and Executive Director Beth Clark.

Each speaker shared a strong belief in the YCC’s mission and the vital impact they strive to make. Their words resonated with the audience, underscoring a shared commitment to the cause and a collective desire to be part of the solution for a healthier, more engaged community.

The Gala featured a lively auction led by Jere Horning from Horning Auction Company LLC, whose exceptional auctioneering skills ignited spirited bidding and added a fun, rewarding experience to the evening. Iggy Scott, a dedicated YCC member and volunteer, served as the event's emcee, guiding the evening with enthusiasm and charm.

Special thanks go out to the volunteers who helped ensure the event ran smoothly, including Rosemary Cahill, Jenna Owen, Gretchen Scalpi, Brandon Smith, Jill Bird, and Kim McCormack. Their dedication and hard work were instrumental in making the Gala a success.

The YCC also extends its gratitude to the local businesses and volunteers who donated generously and devoted their time to the event. Their support is invaluable, and the YCC is fortunate to have a community of both long-time and new supporters. The event's success is a testament to the collective effort of everyone involved.

The YCC would like to acknowledge the critical role their members play in making the community center possible. The support of the members provides hope and the means to continue their mission for years to come. The YCC thanks everyone for their pride in the efforts to improve the physical and mental well-being of all residents and visitors. Together, they are building a stronger, healthier community.
