Yates Community Center Selected as Beneficiary for the 2023 Penn Yan Community Table Dinner

The Community Table Committee is thrilled to announce that the Yates Community Center has been chosen as the beneficiary for the highly anticipated 2023 Community Table Dinner. This annual event brings together the community to support a local nonprofit organization, and this year's selection highlights the outstanding work and mission of the Yates Community Center.

The Yates Community Center is dedicated to enhancing the physical and mental well-being of all residents and visitors by promoting and providing cultural, recreational, athletic, and educational opportunities. Currently, they are undertaking a capital campaign to raise funds for the construction of a new field house. The envisioned field house will feature a multi-purpose turf field, two multi-purpose hard courts, and an elevated walking track. This new facility will enable the community center to offer year-round community programming and events, catering to a wide range of interests and age groups.

"We are honored to have the Yates Community Center as the beneficiary for this year's Community Table Dinner," said Jessica Bacher, co-chair of the Community Table Dinner planning committee. "Their commitment to improving the well-being of our community aligns perfectly with the spirit of this event. By supporting their capital campaign for the new field house, we aim to contribute to their vision of creating a vibrant hub for recreation, education, and community engagement."

The 2023 Community Table Dinner will take place on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, on the Main Street Bridge in Penn Yan. Attendees can indulge in the delectable flavors of the Finger Lakes region, expertly prepared by local chefs Ben Comstock of True Roots Kitchen & Catering and Chet Thompson of The 18th Amendment and Burnt Rose Wine Bar. The culinary experience will be complemented by a selection of local wines and craft beers, showcasing the region's renowned libations.

The unique setting of the event on the Main Street Bridge offers attendees an unforgettable outdoor dining experience with panoramic views overlooking the Keuka Outlet trailhead. As a highly sought-after event with limited seating, tickets for the Community Table Dinner will go on sale starting Tuesday, August 1st. Individual tickets will be available for $125 each, while a group of eight tickets can be purchased for $1200, which includes priority group seating and a bottle of sparkling wine.

Sponsorship opportunities for the Community Table Dinner are currently available, allowing businesses and organizations to show their support for the Yates Community Center and engage with the local community.
