Job Description:

The Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Yates Community Fitness Center. This role will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations, ensuring that all customers are greeted and assisted in a timely and professional manner, and that all administrative tasks are completed.


Responsibilities include:

  • Building and Grounds: working with vendors to ensure facilities and grounds are functional, clean, organized, and inspiring.
  • Fitness Center: equipment inspections on regular basis, handle in-person inquiries, calls and emails from members, monitor fitness area for compliance, ensure cleanliness of center.
  • Technology: become proficient in and teach the use of the YCC's membership software to staff and volunteers, send out renewal notices for monthly membership.
  • Staff and Volunteers: develops strategies to motivate staff and volunteers, report weekly employee payroll information, schedule staff and volunteers to ensure all shifts are covered, fill in when necessary for work coverage.
  • Other: make phone calls to members about membership issues, serve as primary line of response for centers emergencies during and outside of normal operating hours, order and manage inventory office supplies, work with executive director on a variety of tasks, perform related duties as necessary, clock in/out is a requirement.
